    1. Dearest Alan, it feel great to hear from you. How are you doing? ❤😊

I am fine-God has been merciful to me in so many ways that I can only feel grateful, thankful and blessed at this stage of my life. Thank you for asking. 😊

I agree it is about perspectives and the lens we use. Sometimes humans tend to unnecessarily beat themselves up too much for their weaknesses, or sometimes they find it hard to forgive others and let go. I would say that a person with self-love is just like a river-pure, fresh and most of all flowing. As long as a person is learning and growing, he is doing alright for himself.

      Best wishes to you X

    1. Thank you, GP! I never imagined I would get such a warm welcome back. This is a touching gesture. Hugs X

Writing is to me what the berceuse is to a baby. I am back to blogging after a good two year break. I am really happy today. ☺

I hope life has been treating you kindly. All the best, GP!

      Love X

      1. All is fine here. I just refrained from checking in on people because of some of the replied I received due to Covid. So glad you’re doing well!!

        1. Oh I understand, GP. I think in this regard, we must considerately respect the opinions of others even if we might disagree with them. Everyone has their own boundary, safety zone, comfort level and the right to make their own choices with what they feel at ease doing or not-different strokes for different folks.

In the teeth of the current turn of events, bitter pills do have blessed effects. Technology has beautifully brought us together in the virtual world; and we are always there to support each other.

Take care, my dear. See you around.

          Big hugs X

            1. Oh I now fully understand where you are coming from. As somber as it may sound, we must accept the harsh reality of life; and embrace the new normality of things with courage in our heart. Our lost friends will always be remembered fondly.

              Stay safe! X

    1. Hey Dracul! How is it going? 🙂

Happy Holidays to you too. Make the most of the festive season.

      Hugs and kisses X

    1. Hello Ashok, how is it going?

I firmly believe that if not done exclusively, there is no harm in taking care of number one.

The most truly generous persons are those who give, and give, and give of themselves quietly-without a noise- without hope of praise or prize, morning, noon and night. Sometimes, it happens that their contributions go unnoticed by those who matter the most which can leave them feeling depleted, worse valueless over time. It is very important, in relationships, for a person to positively acknowledge a good action as well as to make a sincere apology for a wrongdoing. ‘Thank you’ and ‘I’m sorry’ are only two words uttered in two seconds that have the miraculous power to save two things: love and relations.

People who have cultivated the habit of taking care of themselves from a young age are not going to condone any behaviour from others that distastefully reeks of ego and self-centredness. They would rather walk alone!

    1. Hello Keeferton,

I am back, all oak and iron bound. Thank you. How are you?

      Best wishes to you 😘

    1. Simon! ☺ It’s great to find you again. By the grace of Almighty God, I am good. I hope you are having a pleasant time during this festive period.

      Sending love X

      1. I’m pleased to hear you’re good, I’ve often thought about you, hoping you’re well.

I’m doing ok – still a lot of work to do before the holiday.

Sending much love to you xx

  2. Just read through Psalm 139 and you will see how each of us is fearfully and wonderfully made, exactly right for the plans and purposes God gave. Each of us is a beloved Individual, the apple-center-focus of our Father God’s eye! Don’t let our enemy tell you anything different!

    1. I share your view to the hilt. I am presently reading book III of ‘The Discourses of Epictetus’ which is a series of informal lectures by the Stoic philosopher Epictetus written down by his pupil Arrian around 108 AD. I would like to quote a fascinating conversation along these lines.

“Once, when he was visited by a young student of rhetoric whose hair was somewhat too elaborately dressed, and whose attire in general was highly embellished, Epictetus said: Tell me if you do not think that some dogs are beautiful, and some horses, and so every other creature.—I do, said the young man.—Is not the same true also of men, some of them are handsome, and some ugly?—Of course.—Do we, then, on the same grounds, pronounce each of these creatures in its own kind beautiful, or do we pronounce each beautiful on special grounds? I shall show you what I mean. Since we see that a dog is born to do one thing, and a horse another, and, if you will, a nightingale for something else, in general it would not be unreasonable for one to declare that each of them was beautiful precisely when it achieved supreme excellence in terms of its own nature; and, since each has a different nature, each one of them, I think, is beautiful in a different fashion. Is that not so?—He agreed.—Does it not follow, then, that precisely what makes a dog beautiful, makes a horse ugly, and precisely what makes a horse beautiful, makes a dog ugly, if, that is, their natures are different?—So it appears.—Yes, for, to my way of thinking, what makes a pancratiast beautiful does not make a wrestler good, and, more than that, makes a runner quite absurd: and the same man who is beautiful for the pentathlon is very ugly for wrestling?—That is so, said he.—What, then, makes a man beautiful other than just that which makes a dog or a horse beautiful in its kind?—Just that, said he.—What is it, then, that makes a dog beautiful? The presence of a dog’s excellence. What makes a horse beautiful? The presence of a horse’s excellence. What, then, makes a man beautiful? Is it not the presence of a man’s excellence? Very well, then, young man, do you too, if you wish to be beautiful, labour to achieve this, the excellence that characterizes a man.—And what is that?—Observe who they are whom you yourself praise, when you praise people dispassionately; is it the just, or the unjust?—The just;—is it the temperate, or the dissolute?—The temperate;—and is it the self-controlled, or the uncontrolled?—The self-controlled.—In making yourself that kind of person, therefore, rest assured that you will be making yourself beautiful; but so long as you neglect all this, you must needs be ugly, no matter if you employ every artifice to make yourself look beautiful.”

      I wish you happy holidays.

      Hugs and kisses X

    1. My dear Pauladee! 🤗 How I have longingly missed you too, my darling! I hope you are well. ❤

That’s true. We are beautiful in our own way. And so much more. We are healthy. We are worthy. We are confident. We are courageous. We are secure. We are free. We are peaceful. We are protected. We are resilient. We are loved. 😊
